GRILLED NECTARINES WITH A MINT SIMPLE SYRUP

This recipe is made extra special with Mint from the farm garden wall.


INGREDIENTS

For the Syrup:

  • 1 cup Water 
  • 1 cup Sugar 
  • 1 cup Fresh Mint Leaves 

For the Nectarines:

  • 4 fresh nectarines


INSTRUCTIONS

For the Syrup:

  • Combine water, sugar, and mint leaves in a small saucepan. 
  • Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Simmer for 1 minute. 
  • Remove from heat and let syrup steep, about 30 minutes.
  • Pour syrup into a glass jar through a mesh strainer to remove mint leaves.
  • Let cool.

For the Nectarines:

  • Pit and half the nectarines. 
  • Brush with Syrup.
  • Place on grill for 10-15 minutes.
